Title: Nursing Informaticist
Work Mode: On-site
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in the specific discipline required by the State. A master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
· The primary focus is implementation, integration, support, and maintenance of Applications, at times there will be cross-functional work with I.T. technical and development teams that could include backend support of technical items such as printing environment, SQL database and application server infrastructure.
· You will lead and manage clinical system installations, upgrades, enhancements, and interfaces.
· You may also provide systems training or assist in compiling training documentation including short video clips or word and pdf documents.
· You are expected to develop and maintain detailed work plans indicating target dates, resource requirements, responsibilities, and statuses.
· You will be a member of the applications team and will provide backup coverage and support for other systems.
· You will have to work with secondary apps which could include items such as assisting with ongoing support for installed systems, providing vacation coverage, resolving system issues and problems, and troubleshooting interfaces.
· You must always adhere to service level agreement standards.
· You must take the initiative in enhancing system performance and/or optimizing department processes.
· You may lead small projects as needed.
· You must have background in Clinical Care and Documenting in Electronic Medical Record Systems.
· You must have experience of nursing with 2 years of experience providing care directly to patients and documenting care provided.
· You must have strong analytical and interpersonal skills with highlight in customer service.
· You must have problem solving/troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
· You must have operations experience with various healthcare departments.
· You must have excellent verbal and written communication skill.
· You must be able to read, write, and speak English.
· You may require travel based on assigned projects.
· PMP, HL7, MCP, or other relevant to Healthcare I.T. are a bonus.
Preferred Skills:
· Registered Nurse with 2 years of clinical experience.
· LTAC Industry knowledge.
· Knowledge of Project Management and ITIL standards System integration / interface experience.
· HL7 and interface engine experience preferred.
· Previous Project Management, Project Implementation, or IT Systems Analysis experience.
