Key Responsibilities:
- CDS Hooks & Epic BPA: Utilize Clinical Decision Support (CDS) hooks and Epic Best Practice Advisories (BPA) to enhance clinical workflows.
- EHR Integrations: Develop and maintain integrations with various EHR systems such as NextGen, Athena, Epic, Cerner, and eClinicalWorks (eCW).
- Standards & Protocols: Work with healthcare data standards (FHIR, CCD-A, HL7) and various data formats (JSON, APIs).
- Clinical Imaging Systems: Manage integrations with clinical imaging systems and devices, including Fuji, GE, Ambra, Philips, and Welch Allyn.
- Agile Methodologies: Apply Agile, SCRUM methodologies, and use tools like JIRA and Confluence for project management.
- Networking & Security: Understand and implement computer networking and interfacing protocols (VPNs, HTTPS, SFTP, TCP, MLLP).
- Microsoft Office Suite: Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vizio, O365) for documentation and communication.
- Interoperability & System Integration: Oversee the architecture and quality of system integrations, ensuring seamless data exchange between disparate systems.
General Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing integrations across different systems, with at least two (2) years in clinical systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in integration-related coding languages and protocols such as JavaScript, Java, Python, CURL, HTTPS, and JSON.
- Interdisciplinary Knowledge: Deep understanding of interoperability, system integration, and clinical workflows.
Specialized Experience:
- EHR Configuration: At least five (5) years of experience in EHR configuration, with a strong background in nursing, pharmacy, orders, physician documentation, and/or revenue cycle.
- Certifications: Possess EHR-specific certifications, including solution-specific certifications such as Pharmacy, Core/Locations, Revenue Cycle, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Kafka for real-time data streaming.
- Familiarity with clinical decision support systems and electronic health record optimization.
- Strong communication and team management skills.
