Role Summary
The PeopleSoft Techno-Functional Lead will provide end-to-end leadership across PeopleSoft implementation, upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and AMS/support. The role requires strong functional knowledge, technical expertise, solution design capabilities, and experience leading onsite/offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead requirements gathering, business workshops, fit-gap analysis, and solution design.
  • Provide cross-functional expertise across PeopleSoft HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Labor, Absence Management, FSCM, and Supply Chain.
  • Review technical designs, customizations, integrations, and development approaches.
  • Provide oversight of PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Packages, Component Interface, Integration Broker, SQR, BI Publisher, PS Query, and Fluid UI.
  • Lead PeopleSoft integrations with third-party applications, payroll providers, IAM/AD, banking, tax, and ERP systems.
  • Manage PeopleTools upgrades, PUM adoption, patching, retrofits, and release management.
  • Own AMS/support governance, including P1/P2 incidents, RCA, problem management, SLA/KPI reporting, and backlog management.
  • Lead SIT/UAT, deployment planning, production releases, and post-production stabilization.
  • Manage onsite/offshore teams, capacity planning, escalations, mentoring, and quality reviews.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and senior leadership to drive continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
Required Skills
  • 10+ years of hands-on PeopleSoft techno-functional experience.
  • 5+ years in a leadership / team management role.
  • Strong experience with PeopleTools 8.5x/8.6x.
  • Expertise in PeopleCode, Application Designer, Application Engine, Application Packages, Component Interface, AWE, and Approval Framework.
  • Strong knowledge of Integration Broker, REST/SOAP, web services, OIC, SSO, and data migration/conversion.
  • Experience with Fluid UI, Tiles, WorkCenters, Dashboards, Pivot Grids, and Related Content.
  • Strong SQL/PL-SQL, database and performance-tuning skills.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft upgrades, PUM, Change Assistant, patching, and retrofits.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL/AMS, incident, problem, change, and release management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and client-facing consulting skills.
  • Experience coordinating onsite/offshore teams.
Preferred Skills
  • OCI, AWS, or Azure experience.
  • PeopleSoft security architecture.
  • DevOps / CI-CD practices.
  • ELK / OpenSearch.
  • Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
