Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Epic Cadence Analyst to support and optimize Epic Patient Access applications and workflows. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Epic Cadence and Patient Access, with a solid understanding of scheduling, registration, eligibility, insurance verification, and related operational workflows.
The analyst will be responsible for application design, configuration, build, testing, implementation, troubleshooting, upgrades, and ongoing production support. This role will work closely with business and operational stakeholders to analyze requirements, improve workflows, and deliver effective Epic solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, build, test, implement, and maintain Epic Cadence and related Patient Access functionality.
- Support scheduling, registration, patient flow, admission, authorization, eligibility, and insurance verification workflows.
- Analyze existing business processes and recommend system and workflow improvements.
- Configure and maintain visit types, scheduling rules, Decision Trees, provider templates, and other Cadence functionality.
- Support Real-Time Eligibility (RTE) and insurance verification workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, production incidents, and user-reported problems.
- Participate in Epic upgrades, enhancements, implementations, testing, and optimization initiatives.
- Develop and execute test plans and scripts to validate system changes and ensure workflow integrity.
- Collaborate with Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, clinical, IT, and other business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Epic Patient Access and Cadence-related workflows.
- Maintain application documentation, workflow specifications, and configuration records.
- Provide end-user support, knowledge transfer, and training as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, operational efficiency, and user experience.
- Participate in project meetings, design sessions, validation activities, and go-live support.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge-sharing activities when required.
Required Qualifications
- Active/current Epic Cadence Certification.
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare IT or healthcare application support.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience supporting Epic Patient Access workflows.
- Strong experience with Epic Cadence scheduling and related Patient Access functionality.
- Experience with patient scheduling, registration, patient flow, RTE, and insurance verification.
- Hands-on experience with Epic application configuration, build, testing, implementation, upgrades, and production support.
- Experience working with Decision Trees and scheduling-related configuration.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operational and Patient Access workflows.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with technical and operational teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active/current Epic Prelude Certification.
- Epic Referrals Certification.
- Epic RTE Certification or relevant RTE experience.
- Completed Epic Continued Epic Education (CEE).
- Experience with Epic Authorizations, Welcome, Grand Central, or related Patient Access applications.
- 2+ years of experience mentoring or leading analysts.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level Epic implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives.
- Strong understanding of healthcare policies, procedures, and revenue cycle processes.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent healthcare IT or Epic application experience may be considered in place of a degree.
This is a remote position.
Compensation: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
